Ingredients :
1 kg. chicken cut into desired pieces ( can be thighs, breast or wings)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 piece onion, chopped
ginger, minced
green papaya or 2 pieces sayote sliced into small pieces
1 tbsp.oil
water
2 tsp. salt or 3tbsp. patis ( fish sauce )
chili leaves
seasoning
Procedure :
- Saute ginger, garlic and onions. Wait until it turns slightly brown.
- Add the chicken and season with salt or patis. Let simmer and cook until oil comes out.
- Add half a cup of water. Let it simmer for 3 minutes and add the papaya or sayote.
- Let simmer until vegetables becomes half cooked.
- Add 3-4 cups of water for the soup. Let simmer for another minute and add the chili leaves
- Add seasoning to taste
